About Us

Kimberly Newton-Burgess, President

Kimberly loves people. She spent 17 years managing people and programs within higher education and now manages all of the daily operations of Carolina Safe Air. Kimberly naturally connects with clients, learning about their work but also their families and what they enjoy doing outside of work. She believes that caring is the best way to serve clients.

She’s factory trained on all of their products, and therefore assists with technical questions, preparing quotes or scheduling service calls. She believes that clients want friendly customer service and someone who answers the phone when they call. Carolina Safe Air does just that–day or night, every day of the year!

“We truly want to help them in the fastest and most economical way possible and ensure the safety of everyone in their care. “

Outside of Carolina Safe Air, Kimberly is the proud mom of three teenagers who keep her busy! She’s a regular volunteer at church and for their local school district. She enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, and sharing the outdoors hunting and fishing with her family. She’s also a lifelong fan of the Atlanta Braves!

Josh Burgess, Vice President

Josh is a factory-trained technician with years of experience in gas & flame detection and calibration services. As a long time sales consultant in construction and heavy equipment, Josh’s vast knowledge of manufacturing, construction, and industrial applications is a great fit in understanding the needs of customers. Josh enjoys helping clients determine the right system for their application.

“Many people don’t know how important flame and gas detection are for the safety of their employees and the integrity of their  infrastructure, and I love sharing our knowledge so that clients can make both of those a priority. I believe in what we do and I love working with people across all types of industries to help them be successful in their ventures.”

Josh knows that every client wants to go home safely at the end of every day and they are often stretched in many directions with the demands of their field. He wants to work in partnership to ensure their safety while maintaining compliance, and ultimately making their jobs safer and better.

When he has free time, Josh is an avid fisherman. He volunteers as a high school boat captain for the Dorman High School Bass Fishing Team. He’s an involved Dad who is often found on the sidelines of his children’s sporting events or fishing with them on weekends. He loves to travel and is an enthusiastic fan of the Braves and Clemson Tigers!
